With Key moments if you’re short on time or just want to watch the best bits, Key Moments lets you go right to the action that matters in selected matches. Simply get your player and game stats as your game unfolds. With split view watch up to four videos at once, all on one screen, on selected devices. Keep the action right in front of you with multiple games, or throw in an extra camera angle. All live content streamed in Kayo is available in HD, provided you have the bandwidth.
Kayo can also be accessed on multiple devices including a dedicated Apple TV app. Search Kayo Sports on your Apple TV device, download the app and log in to start watching. If you want to watch on your TV, at the moment there are limited options to choose from. If you’ve got a smart TV with Android TV OS 7.1 or above, you can download the Kayo app straight onto your set. Otherwise, you can get it on 4th generation Apple TVs, Google Chromecast and Telstra TV.
If you’re using a Chromecast, Telstra TV or a “non-supported Android TV”, it’s worth noting that you will miss out on Kayo’s signature split-screen function. Apple TV is currently the only streaming device to support it.
If you want to watch on your computer, Kayo will work with Google Chrome, Firefox or Safari.
But you should note that on mobile phones you can only split your screen two ways, whereas tablets allow you to split your screen up to four ways.
Best plans to watch Kayo Sports
Kayo’s data usage is fairly standard for a streaming service. You’ll use 2.5GB of data per hour watching at 720p, and 3.25GB per hour at 1080p. But note that using split-screen will multiply your data usage like watching two games simultaneously will double your hourly data usage. Two 1080p streams will use 6.5GB per hour, three will use 9.75GB per hour, and four will use 13GB per hour.
Telstra plans work best for Kayo sports. If you’re an existing Telstra customer you can add Kayo to your monthly bill. Pre-paid and small business customers are not eligible.
Also the Telstra TV set-top box can be bundled with any Telstra broadband plan for an extra $9 per month over 24 months. As well as getting Kayo straight onto your TV, the Telstra TV can also support other streaming platforms like Netflix and Stan, and control live TV.
